Continuing on with reserching the nature of violence in this series, I began to extend my observations toward social interactions.

I began to pay attention to violence at a micro level, so discreet and yet present in so many moments of human interactions. A frustrated woman in line, putting someone else down with her eyes. A boyfriend belittling a girlfriend, a sibling toward another sibling and on and on and on really.

I began to look at the aspect of how we integrate it into our words, attitudes, postures, workplaces, its everywhere, so again...

Where does it start? In this series I decided to take household items and recreate midevil and ancient weapons. The extent and craftsmanship that goes into weaponry to create pain and death is frankly mindboggling to me, and in this work I wanted it to say...this must become a thing of the past.
